Report False, Misleading Advertising of LASIK
Many injured LASIK patients feel they were misled by deceptive LASIK ads that imply risk-free, perfect vision without glasses. Read the FDA letter to eye care professionals regarding false and misleading advertising of LASIK. Instructions for filing a complaint of false advertising are provided in the letter (2nd paragraph from bottom).

Read LASIK Injuries Reported to the FDA
MAUDE (MANUFACTURER AND USER FACILITY DEVICE EXPERIENCE) data represents reports of adverse events involving medical devices. To read LASIK or PRK injuries, in the “product code” field, enter “LZS” (for excimer laser) or “HNO” (for flap device). For SMILE, enter “OTL” in the “product code” field. For ICLs, enter “MTA” in the “product code” field. Skip the other fields, enter a date range, and click “Search”.
